As per now 2 people have died in the blaze that ripped through the Northern California. Approx. 1,000 people were still evacuated on Sunday as firefighters worked to put out the fire that had erupted at the begin of the holiday weekend on Friday. According to officials, the Mill Fire had not spread since Saturday morning, covering about 6.6 square miles and being 25 percent contained. However, the nearby Mountain Fire grew in size on Sunday.

According to fire officials, 132 structures were lost or destroyed, though it was unclear whether they were homes, businesses, or other structures.

According to Cal Fire, three people were wounded, but no further information was available. Cal Fire Siskiyou Unit Chief Phil Anzo said Saturday that two people were taken to the medical center’s nearby and One was stable, and the other was taken to UC Davis Medical Center’s burn unit. It's unclear whether these injuries had anything to do with the deaths reported on Sunday.
